Who We Help
Every child develops in their own way, and concerns can arise at different stages of childhood. At ASD Child Ltd, we support children and young people with a wide range of neurodevelopmental needs through specialist Autism, ADHD and Learning Needs Assessments.
Whether you’ve noticed early developmental differences, your child’s school has raised concerns, or you’re looking for greater clarity about their behaviour, communication or learning, our experienced clinicians provide thorough, evidence-based assessments tailored to your child’s individual needs. We take the time to understand the whole child, helping families gain the answers, guidance and practical recommendations they need to move forward with confidence.

Helping Children At Every Stage Of Development
Children’s needs often change as they grow. Some developmental differences become apparent during the early years, while others emerge as academic, social and emotional demands increase. Our clinicians assess children at different stages of development, ensuring every assessment is tailored to their age, experiences and individual presentation.
Children Aged 2 To 5
The early years are an important stage of development, and some children begin to show differences in communication, play, social interaction or behaviour during this time. Parents may notice delayed speech, limited eye contact, repetitive behaviours, sensory sensitivities or difficulty coping with changes in routine. Our Autism assessments for children aged two and above provide a structured, evidence-based understanding of your child’s developmental profile, helping families access appropriate support at an early stage.
Primary School Children
As children progress through primary school, increasing expectations around learning, concentration, friendships and emotional regulation can make developmental differences more noticeable. Some children may struggle to focus in class, manage their emotions, build relationships or keep pace with learning. Depending on your child’s individual presentation, we may recommend an Autism Assessment, ADHD Assessment or Learning Needs Assessment to help identify the most appropriate support and provide practical recommendations for home and school.
Secondary School & Teenagers
The transition into adolescence brings new academic pressures, social expectations and increasing independence. For some young people, challenges that were previously less noticeable become more significant, particularly when they have been masking their difficulties or developing strategies to cope. Our clinicians understand the complexity of adolescent presentations, including Autism, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties and executive functioning challenges. Every assessment is designed to provide a clear understanding of your young person’s needs and help families plan the next steps with confidence.
Supporting A Wide Range Of Neurodevelopmental Needs
Every child presents differently, and no two assessment journeys are the same. Some children display clear signs of a specific neurodevelopmental condition, while others have a combination of characteristics that require a more comprehensive assessment.
Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to consider the whole child, ensuring that recommendations are based on a thorough understanding of their strengths, challenges and individual circumstances.
Children With Autism Traits
We support children who may be experiencing differences in social communication, play, routines, sensory processing or behaviour. Whether concerns have been identified at home, by a nursery or through school, our Autism Assessments provide a detailed understanding of your child’s developmental profile and practical recommendations for the future.
Children With ADHD Traits
Some children experience persistent difficulties with attention, impulsivity or hyperactivity that affect their learning, relationships or everyday life. Our ADHD Assessments use recognised clinical tools to help determine whether these behaviours are consistent with ADHD and identify the most appropriate support.
Children With Dual Presentations
Autism and ADHD can occur together, and many children display characteristics of both conditions. Our clinicians carefully consider co-occurring presentations throughout the assessment process, helping families gain a clearer understanding of how different aspects of their child’s development interact.
Children With Learning Difficulties
When learning becomes increasingly challenging, it is important to understand the reasons behind those difficulties. Our Learning Needs Assessments explore cognitive abilities, learning profiles and educational needs, helping families and schools provide appropriate support.
Children With Complex Needs
Our assessments are designed to identify subtle presentations that may otherwise go unnoticed, ensuring every child receives the understanding and support they need.
Some children have presentations that are more difficult to recognise, particularly when symptoms overlap or are less obvious. We have experience assessing:
- Girls with Autism or ADHD
- Children who mask or camouflage their difficulties
- High-functioning Autism
- Emotionally based school avoidance
- School refusal
- Complex neurodevelopmental presentations
- Children with more than one diagnosis
When Families Choose To Seek An Assessment
Families contact us at many different stages of their child’s journey. Some have noticed developmental differences for several years, while others are responding to concerns raised by a nursery, school or healthcare professional.
Seeking an assessment is not about placing a label on your child. It is about gaining a better understanding of how they experience the world and identifying the support that may help them thrive both at home and in education.
You may wish to explore an assessment if your child:
- Is struggling with communication or social interaction.
- Finds it difficult to maintain attention or stay organised.
- Experiences frequent emotional outbursts or emotional overwhelm.
- Shows sensory sensitivities or sensory-seeking behaviours.
- Is finding school increasingly difficult.
- Has challenges building or maintaining friendships.
- Has become anxious about attending school.
- Appears to be masking their difficulties in educational settings.
- May require additional educational support or an EHCP.
- Has behaviours that you would like to understand more clearly.
Supporting Families Beyond Diagnosis
Receiving a diagnosis is often the beginning of a new journey rather than the end of one. Alongside our assessments, we provide ongoing guidance to help families understand their child’s needs and feel confident about the next steps.
Our post-diagnostic support includes:
- Psychoeducation sessions for parents and carers.
- Practical behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
- Guidance on communicating with schools.
- Information that may support SEN provision and EHCP applications.
- Signposting to trusted services and additional resources.
Our goal is to provide families with practical recommendations that can be applied both at home and within educational settings, helping children receive the support they need to reach their full potential.
